Thank you for your interest in applying for a Summer Research Scholar for 2019/20. The following detail outlines the process that will take place once you have completed the online application.

It is important to note that if you do not have a fully formed project in mind, the earlier you apply will ensure that sufficient detail can be obtained prior to the closing date. Please still continue to complete as much information as possible.

Projects will be reviewed by Victoria University - approval is dependent on the validity of the research project and availability of Victoria supervision. Projects will be open for student applications from the 2nd -16th of September. Students will apply and are allocated to specific projects (no guarantee of a student for every project).

If you would like to be involved with the student selection process you must be available between the 16th September and the 6th October depending on faculty timing.

A contract agreement between your organisation and Victoria will be sent out before a student is allocated to the project, you will then receive an updated schedule with final information and confirmed milestones before they commence.

The signed contract will need to be returned before the 1st November 2019.

Your organisation will be invoiced by 6th December 2019 for total funding of $3,000 per student.

Payments are made to students in three installments, the second and last are upon receipt of progress confirmation by a Victoria University supervisor assigned to the project.

The final report will release the last payment and close the project.

You are invited to attend our Summer Gold competition at the end of the programme which aims to showcase students research work that has been completed over the summer months with a poster or video (optional student entry).
