History or background of award

In collaboration, Te Atiawa o Te Waka-a-Maui Award and Victoria University of Wellington look to support the next generation of scientist through the Te Atiawa o Te Waka-a-Maui Science Award funded by the Zoological Society of San Diego.

Purpose of award

Two scholarships will be awarded annually by Te Ropu Awhina, the on-campus whanau support for Maori and Pasifika students within the Faculty of Science, Engineering, and Architecture and Design.
