History or background of award

LexisNexis has entered a 5-year partnership with the Law Faculty at Victoria University of Wellington. As part of this partnership, each year they will fund the ‘LexisNexis Scholarships’, to be awarded annually at the discretion of the Dean of Law. In 2019, the Law Faculty agreed that part of the scholarship funding should be utilised to create scholarships for 200 and 300 level Law students who are experiencing significant disadvantage or financial hardship.

• A one-page personal statement, explaining your circumstances and reason for wishing to continue your studies at Victoria University of Wellington Faculty of Law. Please outline the academic goals you hope to achieve, your extra-curricular aspirations (such as competitions or conferences you may wish to participate in), and why you believe you merit the scholarship. You should also include any leadership positions and details of your involvement while at Victoria University or within the community. More information may be requested if necessary.
